The details of the ceremony are yet to be confirmed and ok’d with the Vicar. Hymns will hopefully include ‘All things bright and beautiful’ and ‘Jerusalem’. Don’t worry, the choir will be present. Neither Jen nor Col is religious but they have chosen to do things traditionally and have a church wedding.  It is currently un decided as to whether Muffin the Dog will be present at the Church, if he is he will be dressed appropriately and may even have a bath before hand (don’t tell him). The bride will enter the church to the traditional music (here comes the bride!).

The Church

Jen & Col have chosen to get married at their local chrch in Norton Canes. It is called St James Church.

The Cars

They have hired 2 Austin Princess, from Platinum cars. They saw them at a local wedding fair and loved them on sight. There is room for Jen’s big dress and all of the bridesmaids. The cars are called ‘Elsie’ and ‘Daisy’.
Cols transport to the church has not been decided yet, it may only be a few hundred yards down the road but Col had Ferraris on his mind!!

The Flowers

Having cut out several pictures from magazines, Jen finally decided on quite a traditional shape. It turns out her chosen style is the same as the bouquet her mom had when she got married in 1974. The bride’s bouquet will include yellow roses and the bridesmaids will have similar hand tied bouquets to carry.

The Bridesmaids

The Bridesmaids are all wearing gold satin dresses and they all look fabulous. Col saw the dress in the shop window and they were just what they had in mind. Jen also found her wedding dress in the same shop. The dresses are 2 pieces so the tops can be worn again. They are floor length with a slight train. There are still arguments over shoes; Katie wants wedges and Trudy wants Doc martins!
The girls will also have tiaras, and No Becky, they won’t be green!
